Fancy turning the beach into your office? Well this epic 3 month zero to hero surf instructor training course in Australia will help turn your love of waves into your dream job!
You’ll join the crew of Mojo Surf at their famous Spot X Surf Camp in Australia where their experienced and certified instructors will take you through everything you need to know about becoming a surf instructor yourself.
Starting with the basics like learning to pop and paddle you’ll have a mixture of beach training, theory and in water practical sessions to help build up your surf skills and knowledge and if you’re already a competent surfer this is the ideal opportunity to iron out any bad habits you may have picked up!
As you progress you’ll learn more about ocean safety, riding unbroken waves, how to turn – all under the watchful eye and guidances of your coaches.
After two months of surf training and plenty of time in the water you’ll be a competent and confident surfer – then it’s time to start learning about coaching techniques and the skills needed to become a surf instructor yourself.
With the course sessions running Monday – Friday you’ll also have plenty of time to enjoy the waves and explore the surrounding area on your time off, maybe a road trip up to Byron Bay with your new surf buddies?
It’s 3 month filled with surf, sun, fun and adventure – which finishes up with a world recognised certification and opens up an incredible opportunity to surf, travel and work!
This course is suitable for all levels of surfer – whether you’ve never had a lesson before or are already comfortable riding waves.
Day 1-5
Head to Spot X with the 5 Day Great Aussie Guided Group Adventure. Instead of leaving Spot X on day 5, you will stay and start your Academy program.
Day 6 Onwards
The first two months of the course will focus on improving your technical skills, ocean experience, ocean awareness, and fitness and living the life of a surfer.
You’ll be exposed to varying and challenging conditions and learn how to deal with them. During the course we will prepare you to pass all qualifications including; open water rescue, advanced first aid, and your run swim run requirements.
Besides the qualifications we’ll also show you how to be an effective attentive instructor, by providing up to 40 hours of practical experience.
On your last day head to either Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane.

DESCRIPTION:
This is a three month course facilitating the development of the following skills:

-Level 2 instructors to guide you

If cancellation occurs within 30 days from departure, 25% of payment will be retained by Mojosurf. Full amount will not be refunded if cancelled within 14 days. All surfing participants must be able to swim 50 metres unassisted.
