If learning to surf is on your Australia to do list this 10 day Sydney to Byron Bay surf adventure is the best way to get amongst the waves as you travel the East Coast.
You’ll join the crew from Mojo Surf who will teach you everything from pop and paddle techniques through to ocean safety and how to tackle unbroken waves.
Your main base for the surf adventure is Mojo Surfs famous Spot X Surf Camp – it’s beach front with the waves just a short stroll away!
Spend your morning under the instruction of your certified and experienced Mojo Surf instructors who will run through all the skills you’ll need to get up and riding. Then the afternoon free surf is a chance to put in even more practice, with your instructors on hand for some helpful hints and tips.
After a hard day in the waves you can chill out at the camp with some surf movies or join your fellow surf buddies around the campfire for a few post surf beers!
You’ll finish up your surf adventure at the Mojo Surf Camp in Byron Bay (based at the infamous Arts Factory Hostel!) where you’ll get in amongst some of the awesome surf breaks this beach town has to offer.

Day 1
Head north out of Sydney to the legendary beachfront surf camp – Spot X. Check in, chill out and hang with your new friends round the campfire. Meals: D
Day 2-7
Spend the next six days learning how to surf from the pros with two surf sessions a day. Between surfs there’s loads of fun to be had with plenty of other activities on offer around the camp. Your three delicious meals a day will give you loads of energy for hitting the waves! Meals: B/L/D
Day 8
After surfing all morning and hanging out in the afternoon it will be time to hop on the bus and head to the famous town of Byron Bay. You will have time to have a delicious dinner, check into your accommodation and hit the town Mojo style! Meals: B/L/D
Day 9
Up early for breakfast and surf lesson with the Byron Mojo team. You have the afternoons free to explore the town, relax on the beach or hang at the camp. At night head out with your friends and the Mojo crew. Meals: B/D
Day 10
Up early for breakfast, check out and your last surf lesson. Stay longer in Byron Bay or head off to your next destination. Meals: B

These trips are also available in reverse or Boomerang (return to departure point) or to start and end in Brisbane (extra $30).
Please note that Sydney Boomerang trips will just stay at Spot X for the entire trip.

If cancellation occurs within 30 days from departure, 25% of payment will be retained by Mojosurf. Full amount will not be refunded if cancelled within 14 days. Mojosurf recommends that all persons take out personal travel insurance as Mojosurf are not responsible for injuries, loss or damage of equipment or bad breath. All surfing participants must be able to swim 50 metres unassisted.
All passengers need to be at departure point at least 15 mins before departure time.

MEET MOJO GUIDE AT: Sydney at 6:45am from Bus Bay 8-10 Eddy Av. Central Station
MEET MOJO GUIDE AT: Byron Bay10:45am (11:45am during daylight savings) from Main Bus Stop, Jonson St.
DEPART: Brisbane – 8am from Bus Stop 125, Roma Street Station, Ground Floor, outside, opposite QLD Police Headquarters. However, this will incur an additional cost of $30, payable direct to Mojosurf on arrival into Spot X.
Please note that transport can vary between buses and trains.
If you have booked a Boomerang (return) trip you MUST let the Mojosurf office know when reconfirming so the correct transfers can be arranged. Please also note that Boomergan (return) trips from Sydney only visit Spot (not Byron Bay).
