Learning to scuba dive is something that is top of many travellers bucket lists and there’s few places more memorable to complete your open water scuba dive course than Australias Great Barrier Reef!
This 6 day open water and advanced open water course in Cairns with the crew from Deep Sea Divers Den combines 2 days of classroom, theory and pool work with a four day, 3 night live aboard boat on the famous Great Barrier Reef!
Instead of completing your open water modules on two day trips to the reef you’ll spend the night aboard one the Deep Sea Divers Den amazing scuba dive live aboard boats where you’ll complete your course in style.
You’ll then go on to complete your advanced open water on board too.
And of course all this time on the Great Barrier Reef means you’ll clock up some serious dives too – 4 open water training dives, 5 advanced open water training dives and 4 fun dives. That’s a total of 13 dives, which even includes 2 night dives!
It’s the perfect way to spend more time exploring the Great Barrier Reef and gain two world recognised certifications. What a way to kickstart your dive career!

* Please note on days one and two – meals, accommodation and Medical are not inclusive. You will also at some point in the first 2 days be required to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes.
Day 3
8.00am pickup from your city accommodation.
Transfer out to the reef aboard our day trip vessel and do your first 2 training dives.

At 14:30 transfer to the liveaboard vessel where you will spend the night.

Certification as Open Water diver
Afternoon Advanced Peak Performance Buoyancy dive
